In addition, researchers will be deploying a similar GPS and seismic network in Greenland.  Greenland like Antarctica offers the same natural laboratory for studying the solid earth processes that influence ice sheet dynamics.  To find out more about POLENET Greenland, check out the POLENET Arctic deployments.

In addition to the U.S POLENET program that is featured in these pages, scientific partners from 24 countries will also be deploying and monitoring geophysical sensors at remote sites and at research stations across Antarctica and the Arctic region.  The maps below provide overviews of both current and planned POLENET activities.
