Pyramidal mountain about 2 mi NE of Mount Schlossbach, at the NE end of the S group of the Rockefeller Mountains on Edward VII Peninsula. Discovered by the ByrdAE (1928-30) and later named by Byrd for Seward M. Paterson, manufacturer who furnished shoes and ski boots for the ByrdAE (1933-35). (Longitude discrepency)
