Cool for Schools

Hi ! You're reading the POLENET schools page.

During the International Polar Year 2007-2008, lots of scientists are going to the Arctic and the Antarctic to try to learn more about the Earth using some cool instruments.

1) First, Meet a SCIENTIST! (click to go to the new page)

2) The scientists involved in the Polar Earth Observing Network (or POLENET for short) are all geophysicists of some sort. Find out more about POLENET and what geophysicists do in POLENET science explained (click to go to the new page).

3) All the scientists have to get used to living and working in the cold (click to go to some links about this).

If you're a teacher, you can download some worksheets by clicking on this link:

plans by contacting Kelly Carroll POLENET's Education and Outreach Coordinator.
